Inspired by how other advocacy groups have used stories and by the testimony given by community residents at our public meetings, ACCAN decided to complete its own stories project. We realized that it was important to articulate the reality of living with the plant. Our stories were not being heard as part of important democratic processes. We started our Stories project three years ago by having residents tell their story firsthand in meetings with regulators, legislators and the media. And now we share our stories with you. Please read the following stories knowing that they come from the heart and souls of a wonderful group of committed friends and citizens.
